2008 Men's Post Season Honors

Jersey Knights Men continue to enjoy much success at the high school level in soccer. Congratulations to all Knights players who were recognized for their perfromances on the soccer field during the Fall 2008 Season. Leading this year’s group of honorees are  Zach Stahl (U18 Seige), Ryan Norland (U18 Seige),Kharee Windslow (U18 Seige), and Tom Parkinson (U18 Seige).

Zach Stahl, a senior goalkeeper for East Brunswick, earned All Area 1st Team Honors from the Home News Tribune. He recorded 8 shutouts and was very strong in shootouts. Zach also was named to the Star Ledger’s All Midlesex County 1st Team, All Greater Middlesex Conference 1st Team as named by GMC coaches and was All GMC Red Division. He is an athletic, technically sound keeper who was the  leader of the East Brunswick defense.

Ryan Norland, a senior midfielder also from East Brunswick, earned All Area 1st Team Honors form the Home News Tribune. As a strong, physical  player he scored 5 goals and recorded 3 assists this season. In addition, Ryan earned 2nd Team all Middlesex Honors from the Star Ledger. He was also named 1st Team All GMC by coaches and All Red Division.

Kahree Winslow led the Picataway Chiefs this season with 9 Goals and 13 Assists. Kahree was named 1st Team All Greater Middlesex Conference by GMC coaches this year. He also earned 2nd Team All Area Honors from the Home News Tribune, 2nd Team All Middlesex County from the Star Ledger. In additon, Kahree was named to the GMC Red Division Team.

Tom Parkinson is a senior defender for the  Old Bridge Knights. He anchored an Old Bridge defense that posted 7 shutouts. As a 3 year varsity performer he earned All Area 1st Team Honors from the Home News Tribune. Tom scored 1 goal and recorded 2 assists. He also earned recognition from GMC coaches on the All GMC Conference 1st Team. In addition Tom earned 1st Team All Middlsex County recognition from the Star Ledger and was named 1st Team All GMC Red Division.

Also receiving recognition for their play on the field this season are Sean Mosser (U18 Seige), Mauricio Valdelomar (U17 Fire), Danny Andre (U17 Fire), Mike Jolibus (U18 Seige), and Tim Gandy (U17 Fire).

Sean Mosser, a senior at Sayreville High School, earned 3rd Team All Area Honors from the Home News Tribune. Sean scored 5 goals and recorded 4 assists for the Bombers this season. In addition, Sean earned 3rd Team All Middlesex County Honors from the Star Ledger and was named to the GMC All White Division Team.

Mike Jolibus earned 2nd Team All Area Honors from the Home News Tribune and 2nd Team All Middlesex County Honors from the Star Ledger. Mike, a senior from Old Bridge High School, scored 8 goals and recorded 10 assists for the Knights this year. In addition, he earned All GMC Red Division recognition.

Mauricio Valdelomar is a junior midfielder for the Colonia Patriots. He recorded 5 goals and 4 assists for 14 points this fall. Mauricio earned All Area 3rd Team Honors from the Home News Tribune and 3rd Team All Middlesex County Honors from the Star Ledger. He also was named to the GMC All White Division Team.

Danny Andre scored 14 goals and recorded 14 assists for the South River Rams this Fall. He earned 3rd Team recognition on the Home News Tribune’s All  Area Team. In addition, Danny was named to the Star Ledger’s All Middlesex 3rd Team and the GMC All Blue Division Team.

Tim Gandy a senior Midfielder for the Monroe Falcons, scored 6 goals and recorded 8 assists this season. He was named to the All Area 3rd Team and the GMC All White Division Team.

A number of Knights players earned honorable mention on the Home News Tribune’s All Area Team. From the U18 Seige and Old Bridge High School, Sebastian Caronelli, Thomas Glynn (3 Goals 10 assists), and Liem Nguyen all recieved recognition. Denzel Hinds from Piscataway High School who scored 12 goals and recorded 4 assists was also recognized.

The U17 Fire also had players recognized on the All Area Honorable Mention Team. From North Brunswick High School are Michael Whalen and Evan Lewis. Mike scored 9 goals and recorded 13 assists for the Raiders. Evan was a defender on one of the county’s stingiest defenses. Adrian Mosquera, who scored 10 goals for Timothy Christian, was also recognized with Honorable Mention. In addition, Eric Palisay and Jason Chung from Monroe High School, earned Honorable Mention Recognition. Eric scored 19 points this season on 8 goals and 3 assists. Jason worked in the defense for the Falcons. From East Brunswick High School Steven Fawzy, Chris Ramirez and Josh Alvarez earned Honorable Mention on the All Area Team. Steve anchored a strong EB Defense. Josh scored 12 goals to go along with his 2 assists and Chris scored 5 goals and recorded 4 assists. Steve and Chris also earn All Red division Honors this season.

David DeLooper (U17 Fire) was recognized as one of the top 10 midfielders in Mercer County by the Trentonian. David scored 2 goals and recorded 8 assists. He earned All State Honorable Mention and CVC Honorable Mention in Mercer county.
