The Jersey Knights Fire U17B won the MSSL 2014 Spring College Showcase Gold Cup for the second straight year.  After a 2-2 tie with NEFC in the opening game of pool play the Fire shut out their opponents not letting up a single goal the rest of the way. The Fire won their remaining pool play games vs Hunterdon 3-0 and Ramapo Valley 2-0 to advance to the finals. In the finals the match qwith North Union FC ended in a draw and went to PKs. The Fire prevailed in PKs 4-1 with outstanding goal keeping. The Fire is trained and coached by Rene Portillo and managed by Bob Goldy.
